This Week is North Carolina’s Winter Weather Preparedness Week for 2023

While it doesn’t feel like winter temperatures this weekend, winter weather could be just around the corner any time during the next few months.    Remember, it only takes ONE storm to make an impact in our community.  Preparedness week is a way to reinforce what one should do to prepare for each winter season.  While the winter outlook is predicting above normal temperatures overall, we still need to prepare for possible stretches of cold air which may include snow or ice events.

This year we are hosting a large amount of winter weather preparedness resources online at https://www.weather.gov/Raleigh/winterprep

We created the above website to also be a valuable resource throughout the entire season. We have everything from how to prepare your home, to safe driving tips this winter.
